Mambo in Seattle, in his final workout for Saturday's $1 million Travers Stakes at Saratoga, worked a solid half-mile in 48.01 seconds Tuesday morning, going the final quarter-mile in a sharp 23.51 over a "good" main track that had puddles on it. Robby Albarado, who was aboard for the drill and will ride him in the Travers, admires his mount's heart. "Mambo's a fighter," he said. "He'll come back and beat a horse."
